“This award is for bloggers who strive to write for everybody, and no matter how many viewers they get, make an impact on a reader. This award is an expression of gratitude to the nominee. It should be awarded to anybody that you choose deserves it, and it doesn’t mean that they must have hundreds of followers and likes.”
Hi, guys!
For today, we have an award and I’ve never done this one before! Thank you so much @Bookprincessreviews for nominating me! If you haven’t checked out her blog yet, make sure you do, because her blog is amazing and full of reviews, tags and her rating system is the coolest I’ve seen so far! Also, make sure you check out her answers for this award here!
THE RULES
- Anybody nominated can nominate eight other bloggers.
- The nominee answers three questions posed by the nominator.
- The questions you ask while nominating can be any three questions.
- If any of the questions asked are offensive or the nominee simply does not want to answer, the nominee does not have to answer them to earn the award.
Mandy’s questions:
What was your last favorite book and why?
Ahh, I’ve been reading so many amazing books and so incredibly different from each other! I will tell you about two I recently really enjoyed. One is a Fantasy, the other is a Contemporary.
I recently really fell in love with these two. They are so incredibly different and yet so wonderful and fascinating!
The main reason I loved them is because they are both very emotional, which apparently I’m digging… And they are both my favorite genre. If you like that too, I would really recommend you to check them out if you haven’t yet! I have reviews for both here: Wintersong / Things We Have in Common.
Has there ever been a time when you hated or gave up on reading?
Well, I didn’t read as much before I moved to Finland since it was always very easy to pick up PT books and a lot of the time I don’t really enjoy translations and they are way more expensive. Also, I wasn’t so comfortable reading English as I am now and I didn’t have a job to have money to spend on books. So there was a time that I didn’t read as much, even passing months without reading.
But since I was little, when my mom went grocery shopping I always went to the book section and stayed there until she had everything needed.
I don’t think I ever gave up, at least not consciously and I never hated reading.
What book are you most excited to read this year? (Doesn’t have to be a 2017 release)
I’m really excited for some books actually… I’m starting TMI and TID, so I’m really pumped-up for those. Also, Fangirl and It Ends With Us, … I really want to read some more contemporary books this year.
For 2017 releases, I made a list here.
My Questions:
- Which fictional character from movie/series or books represents you the best? Why?
- Which book do you have in your collection, that you consider being pure coverporn?
- Do you see anime or read manga? What’s your favorite?
I nominate:
- Readsrhythms&ruminations
- Painfullyfictional
- Inkyspells
- icebreaker694
- Abibliophile’sobsession
- Erikainbookventureland
- Onebookishgirl
- Thebohemianbookreview
I tried to check but if you’ve done it already or don’t wanna do it, feel free to skip it!
Enjoy!
Ooooh, I’ve read Claire Lazebnik’s books before, and I kept hearing this last one of hers was really good. With Joana’s stamp of approval, I’m definitely going to have to pick it up soon. 😀 And Wintersong does sound amazing. Also, I’m super pumped to see your thoughts on Fangirl. I’ve seen so many reviews on it, and I always teeter on whether or not I should give it another try. Hopefully it goes well. Wonderful post, Joana, and I always just love seeing that adorable little kitty in a boat. Thank you for the kind words as well, and fantastic answers! 😀

awwww thank you!!! ❤ It was the first book I read from her and I loved it! Definitely checking out some more 😀 Wintersong is beautiful! I can’t wait for the sequel to be released! Plus that cover is so freaking gorgeous!
Fangirl has been sitting on my shelf for so long that is becoming ridiculous, since I was so interested in reading when I bought it… I’ve read so many reviews on it too! It doesn’t really seem the type of book I normally enjoy but it’s a favorite for a lot of people so I’m definitely going to try it out this summer! Hopefully we will like it ;D
I have been doing the What Cats do Book Tag to post soon. I think I would do any tag with cats in it 😛
And once again thank you so much!! ❤
