I have seen so many people not liking this book… And I can’t help but love it! Although I felt that the book could have had a lot more than it did, and although I have to say it was quite cliché, I just loved all the development in this book! It was just such an emotional ride! And it had everything I wanted it to have to conclude this “trilogy” (since the next books won’t be following Feyre (?)).

I am giving this book the same rating as the last one because what the other had that I didn’t like was compensated in this one, but there are still things I think are amiss. I did love the last one a lot – you can read my review of ACOMAF here – but this one had what I actually wanted – a lot of action and not so many awkward sex scenes.

The characters in this series are just so amazing! I love the Court of Dreams with all my heart! I loved how the characters were developed! I loved to know more about each of them and to see them and their friendship grow.

I loved seeing Feyre and Rhysand so connected with each other but at the same time, each had their own parts if you know what I mean… I liked that they weren’t always glued basically. There’s a lot of parts that I can’t talk here because this is a spoiler free review but I loved the quests Feyre had to do alone. It showed how much she evolved from the first book and I just loved it!

Another character I really liked was Lucien. I always had the tendency to like him from the first book and with this book he grew even more in me. He is quite a surprising character and I really liked his development in this book.

Amren was also a character that I always really enjoyed reading about, but in this book, I loved her even more. Especially her relation with Nesta and how intense they are, and at the same time sensitive. I know that a lot of the times they can feel bitchy – especially Nesta – but they are just so cool once you get to know them more!

There’s just so many surprises (and a lot of drama too) in this book. And all the characters had something happen that made me even more attached to them. Even the secondary ones! It’s just so overwhelming!

As for the plot, if there’s something I love about this book is the war and having all the High Lords there. But especially the monsters. Can’t say much about that either but trust me, it’s just so incredibly cool! Ahh, I loved everything in it!

The end was super cliché but it was such an impact in my sensitive heart! In general, the book was slow and it could have been a lot shorter. But the last 200 pages were such a rush of emotions! They were incredibly fast paced. And I can’t wait to read all these books again and see all the things I might have missed because there’s so much happening.

This book might make my favorites of the year. I am not sure yet because there’s quite some time left till the end but I loved it that much! I definitely recommend this book and prepare yourself for some pretty nice character development and a lot of action!
