FairyLoot October Box Unboxing

The theme for October’s FairyLoot box was Villainous. If you haven’t checked them out yet, FairyLoot is an amazing YA bookish subscription box. This was my first box and I was incredibly excited for it! All the themes they have sound fantastic, but I have to say that this was a really good month to start!

If you wanna check out what this box included, just keep reading! I will share some photos of the items and my thoughts on them.

Villainous – October 2017

So this is all the box included. Isn’t it amazing?!

This box came with two books: The Language of Thorns with an exclusive cover. The original cover is made with gold foil, as you can see on the left, while the FairyLoot one has red foil, as you can see in my photo.

The book of the month is by Julie Dao and it’s called Forest of a Thousand LanternsI’m super excited for this one since I already intended on reading it. It sounds amazing and it’s a retelling of the Evil Queen set in Eastern Asia. We also got a letter from the author and a signed bookplate.

As for the other items…

We got an exclusive Maleficent Candle by Meraki Candles. It smells SO AMAZING! It’s a green soy candle and it contains Jade Orchid & Lotus Blossom. It smells really fresh and kinda perfume-y. I would say that it’s a slightly manly smell.

We got a super pretty and exclusive old-fashioned villain coaster made by Evie Seo (links here and here). It’s inspired by Moriarty and it’s just beautiful! I love both the colors and the design and it’s perfect to either put my teacup on or, of course, take photos!

In my photo, you can also see what I thought to be a pin but it’s actually a pocket mirror! It’s an exclusive hidden darkness pocket mirror and it was designed by Little Inkling Designs. The quote is from The Young Elites by Marie Lu. It’s just a super pretty tiny mirror that is easy to carry with you everywhere!

We also got an incredibly pretty exclusive Death Eater enamel pin, which I absolutely love! It’s so adorable! It’s my first bookish pin ever and it was designed by House of Wonderland. This is probably one of my favorite items in the box! Although it’s hard to choose.

Also in the photo, you can see two of the postcards included in the box. They are from The Language of Thorns and they are the same images included in the book in the end of each short story. They are stunning and they included all six of them! The Soldier Prince is one of my favorite illustrations.

As for the art in this box, we have two! The one on the right is from Evie Seo and it’s an exclusive Raise Hell print. It features a quote from The Aeneid by Virgil, a Roman poet, and it’s absolutely stunning! It’s so detailed and the colors go so well together.

We also got, as a bonus item, a Night of Cakes and Puppets art print, that is beautiful! I love the design and the colors in that one too!

Here is another photo of all of it together!

This was an amazing, amazing box and I can’t wait to get more of them. I absolutely loved everything in it. How well put together it was, how packed full and how beautiful all the items were. It’s an amazing subscription box and I highly recommend it. Plus it arrives incredibly fast and in good condition!

The next month’s theme will be…

 Ladies that Slay!!

I’m super excited for it. For more information on that box, you can check the instragram post here! They are already sold out, but they always have some left in the beginning of the month. If you want that one, make sure you hurry and get it day 3!!

You can also already check out the December theme here! And for that one, you can subscribe or buy a single box starting day 5 of November!

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, as much as I did. I really like talking about bookish stuff and these are the first things I got that are not Funko Pops.

Did you get this box or intend to get one?

What’s your favorite item from here?

Have you read any of these books? Let’s discuss it in the comments below!
