Hey guys! How was your February??
Mine for sure didn’t go as planned… It was still awesome but for sure not as planned.
First, I pre-ordered some books I really wanted to get and ended up not getting them due to them being sold out. So that was the not so great part. But at least I did get one I was really anticipating! Then, I ended up traveling to Berlin and so I wasn’t able to read as much as I wanted. Which to be honest I am MORE THAN HAPPY that that part didn’t go according to plan – which was to stay home and read.
Berlin was amazing! Definitely one of my favorite cities so far! A bit similar to Paris in my opinion, which I also love… I loved the feeling, I loved everything I visited and although I didn’t buy much I bought some pretty cool things, so expect a haul pretty soon!!
I will stop rambling now and get to the point of this post. This month I read 12 books. I am really happy with this month because I got to participate in the Contemporary-a-thon, which was amazing, you can check out my post here and I actually discovered a LOT of favorites this month.
What did you read this month? Any favorites?
February Wrap-up

- Lord of the Flies
My TOP 3 books of the month were:
It Ends With Us was an incredibly touching book. Much better than I anticipated and it really hit me big time.
The Cruel Prince was dark, cruel and intense. I really enjoyed the characters and how they were not what I was expecting. I loved all the twists and the world was beautiful!
The Female of the Species was a freaking intense book that made me heartbroken. It touches some really triggery subjects like sexual assault, rape, animal abuse… It’s complex and realistically dark.
What were your favorite reads of February? Have you read any of the books mentioned? Let’s discuss in the comments below!
March TBR
This month I will be working more than usual and I also have to prepare for some test coming up, so I’m not sure how this month will go… But I really hope I get to some of these books!
The books I want to try to read in March are:

That really sucks that your pre-orders were sold out! They should let you know ahead of time so you can pre-order from somewhere else! I had that happen to me with non-book Christmas presents a couple years ago and it was awful!
I read The Cruel Prince and Ready Player One this month, and loved them both! I read Lord of the Flies in high school and I despise that book. It was so messed up.

Uhh that sucks! For me, it happens quite a bit with Book Depository >.<
I really loved the Cruel Prince and I’ve been meaning to read Ready Player One for quite a long time but I’m really not much into sci-fi, and although sometimes I actually like them, it’s really difficult to make myself read one…
I’m still not sure what to think about Lord of the Flies. It was my first time reading it and I generally do like this type of dark books but… It’s weird and I can’t say I enjoyed it that much while reading it. Plus it took me more time to read than it should have for such a tiny book.
But every time I think about it I realize more and more things? I really what the author wanted to transmit with that book, but it didn’t grip me at all… I’m still doing a review on it tho

I’ve been meaning to continue the Amulet series, but I keep forgetting, it might be something I do in March.

Good luck! I hope you enjoy them!! I initially just thought it to be okay, but now I’m actually really enjoying it! I think it gets better and more exciting. And the art is really pretty!
