Unboxing: FairyLoot February 2018

Hey guys! The theme for February’s FairyLoot Box was Twisted Tales. FairyLoot is an amazing YA bookish subscription box.

I actually was pretty certain of what book was coming in this box and I was super excited about it. And another thing I was super excited about was the mug! I love mugs and to be honest I didn’t own any bookish one!

If you wanna check out what this box included, just keep reading! I will show photos of the items, information on them and some of my thoughts!

Twisted Tales – February 2018

So this is all the box included. Now for each item…

This month’s book is The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert. This is the first book in a trilogy called The Hazel Wood and it’s a book I was highly anticipating.

Here’s the synopsis:

Alice has spent most of her life on the road, always one step ahead of the strange bad luck biting at her heels. But when Alice’s grandmother, the reclusive author of a book of pitch-dark fairy tales, dies alone on her isolate estate – the Hazel Wood – Alice discovers how bad her luck can really get.

Her own mother is stolen away – by a figure who claims to come from the supernatural world where the fairy tales are set. Alice’s only clue is the message left behind:

To rescue her mother, Alice must venture first to the Hazel Wood, then into the world where her grandmother’s tales began…

As for the other items…

02032018-IMG_7738With the book, we got a letter from the author and this time the book was actually signed!! (see the photo below).

We also got an AMAZING and exclusive  “Grimm Tales” mug designed by AunjuliArt. The mug features several of Grimm’s Fairytales all in amazing tiny details all around. It’s truly beautiful! I will be showing in this post the mug all around, so check out which tales you can find! I found Little Red Hood, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White, Cinderella, Rapunzel,  The Frog King and Little Brier-Rose.

02032018-IMG_7740We got an exclusive little Red Riding Hood wooden bookmark by @inkandwonder. This is a gorgeous bookmark and it’s my first one in wood! I love the colors and the details in it, it’s so pretty! Also, I’m really happy the book is signed because I don’t have many opportunities to get my books signed.

02032018-IMG_7735We have an exclusive “Hinterland” candle by Wickandfabel. This is actually inspired by the book of the month! I couldn’t be happier with that decision because I loved last month’s one. The author actually helped come up with the scent – the woody scents represent The Hinterland, which is a supernatural world in the story, and the tea leaves represent Alice, our MC. It smells amazing!!

We got also some pretty cool and exclusive “The Witch & The Gingerbread House” socks! Which were inspired by Hansel and Gretel and it was designed by FairyLoot!

02032018-IMG_7744And last but not least, an exclusive “Poisonous Apple” Bath Salts by Little Heart. They are vegan and cruelty-free and the artwork is by Till & Dill. They are based on Snow White and I’m super excited to try them out! I haven’t used them yet but I did open the package and it smells amazing!! SO much like green apples! Ahhh I can’t wait!

Here’s another overview of the box’s contents:

02032018-IMG_7743This box was once again amazing, I loved the dark-themed items and I’m super excited to start this book! My favorite item has to be the mug because it’s INCREDIBLE, the amount of detail it contains.

The next month’s theme will be…

Memorable Moments
