Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010 out of a love of lists. It recently changed to That Artsy Reader Girl and that’s where you can find the topics for each Tuesday.
This week’s topic is:
Books to Read By the Pool/At the Beach (This can also serve as your summer TBR)
Normally the type of books I read by the pool/at the beach tend to be easy reads. Generally, they are either tiny books, contemporary books, graphic novels/manga or in the rare occasion, poetry. But to be honest, nowadays I go more towards audiobooks when I read at the beach.
I will talk about some books I think are good to read outside during the summer (pool/beach). Some I’ve read, some I’ll be reading this summer.
Do you read by the pool/at the beach? What type of books?
Some manga/graphic novels:
I’ve read the first three and half of the last one and this type of books are always perfect beach reads for me. They are easy and fast to read and although the first one is a classic, at least for me it would still work, because it’s an easy and romantic story. Also, the last one might be a bit dark, but I think it would still be a fun summer read!
These are some of the contemporary books I’m gonna read this summer! The first two ones might not be the perfect beach type of books but I REALLY wanna get to them and they are still contemporary books. I think that especially the last two are PERFECT for a summer read!
These are some I’ve already read, but would totally read them again at the beach! They are awesome books, fun and easy and it would make me totally engaged even if it’s a windy day, or at least I would give my everything to continue reading them >.<
These are some extra books I wanted to mention. The first one is an anthology with short stories that have romance and summer in them, which I think it’s perfect to read at the beach! The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue is an AMAZING audiobook, that I would totally recommend reading during summer!
Do you read by the pool/at the beach? What type of books? Do we have any of the same? Let’s talk in the comments below!
