The second installment in the all-new series from the masterful, #1 NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater!

Now that the ley lines around Cabeswater have been woken, nothing for Ronan, Gansey, Blue, and Adam will be the same. Ronan, for one, is falling more and more deeply into his dreams, and his dreams are intruding more and more into waking life. Meanwhile, some very sinister people are looking for some of the same pieces of the Cabeswater puzzle that Gansey is after…

Captura de ecrã 2017-06-30, às 18.09.21This series is So good! It’s gripping, exciting and full of surprises!

This book was more focused towards my favorite character from book 1, Ronan. It follows the last book after we discover that he can take things out of dreams, like Chainsaw (which, btw, best sidekick EVER!), and we get to see his gift evolve. We learn a lot more about him and it’s past. He is such a complex and interesting character! I love that he is straightforward, sarcastic and you can never predict what he will say. He is kind of a brute, really, at least it’s what he makes himself look like, but he has a heart of gold!

One of the best things about this series is that each character is engaging in their own way. They couldn’t be more different, but they complement each other perfectly! They just keep surprising you and making you more attached to them!

For example, Blue’s interaction in this book had quite an interesting change. We saw her connection to each character, instead of to the group, like in the previous installment. We got to know quite a lot about her in the last book, and although her role here is not as big, you can see that she is really important for each character, for different reasons. I loved all the parts she appeared on tho! They were less action-y and more emotional and it gave a nice balance. I loved her interactions with Noah and Gansey the most! But I also can’t not mention her interaction with the Grey Man! It made me laugh so much! It was so sarcastic and fun! She is just really interesting and like the others, quite unpredictable at times. I just love her, and any character in these books really.

I also really liked the bit that Noah appeared and how much of a change Adam had from the first book. And obviously Gansey, he is just so sweet and friendly and he has such a good heart, I just love them all! They are one of the best gangs ever!

The world in this book, like I said in my last review, is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It’s unique, interesting, complex and erratic! Anything can happen here, LITERALLY anything. Cabeswater is constantly blowing my mind and I have no idea where this story is going! Especially after each end… Both the first and second books had ends that made me gasp, I just don’ know what to think, what to do, anything… I NEED to get to the next book ASAP! I’m desperate!

Also, the plot is freaking amazing! It keeps getting more and more intense and suspenseful! It’s just so unique and uncertain… There are tons of twists and turns, it’s just impossible to get bored!

This is turning into one of my favorite series! There’s absolutely nothing I don’t love about these books! The writing is engaging, the plot interesting, the world unique to the point of blowing my mind with all the magic in it, and the characters are the freaking best! Highly recommended!Captura de ecrã 2017-06-30, às 18.18.22
