I’m finally doing my Fairyloot unboxing! This month’s theme was Rebels in Ballgowns and this month, it contains some really different items! FairyLoot is an amazing YA bookish subscription box that I would highly recommend getting.
To be honest, this box was not one I was the most excited about, since I haven’t read many of the books that the items were supposed to be based on. I did like the theme tho! Plus I knew we were getting some awesome items never seen before and that makes anyone excited… right?! But in the end, I am once again surprised by Fairyloot… I loved this box and there are things in here I never imagined coming for sure!
If you wanna check out what this box included, just keep reading! I will show photos of the items, information on them and some of my thoughts!
Rebels in Ballgowns – June 2018
So this is all the box included. Now for each item…
This month’s book is Grace & Fury by Tracy Banghart. This month’s cover is the same as the original paperback one, but exclusive in hardback format. It also contains incredibly beautiful designs under the dust jacket, which I will be showing in the next photos. Plus we are receiving this book one month earlier than it is released!
Here’s the synopsis:
In a world where women have no rights, sisters Serina and Nomi Tessaro face two very different fates: one in the palace, the other in prison.
Serina has been groomed her whole life to become a Grace–someone to stand by the heir to the throne as a shining, subjugated example of the perfect woman. But when her headstrong and rebellious younger sister, Nomi, catches the heir’s eye, it’s Serina who takes the fall for the dangerous secret that Nomi has been hiding.
Now trapped in a life she never wanted, Nomi has only one way to save Serina: surrender to her role as a Grace until she can use her position to release her sister. This is easier said than done. A traitor walks the halls of the palace, and deception lurks in every corner. But Serina is running out of time, imprisoned on an island where she must fight to the death to survive and one wrong move could cost her everything.
As for the other items…
With the book, we got a letter from the author and a signed bookplate. Also, behind the letter, there’s, again, an amazing artwork of our main characters from the book of the month! Also in the photo, you can see we got a postcard promoting the book.
In these two photos, you can see the letter from the author and both the gorgeous front and back part behind the dust jacket!
It’s such a nice and beautiful detail!
We got some exclusive “Shatter Me” Magnetic Bookmarks by Taratjah Art. They are all completely magnetic and realistic. I have yet to read the books so I have no idea who they are, but according to the spoiler card, from left to right we have Warner, Juliette, and Adam. They are characters from the Shatter Me series form Tahereh Mafi.
We also got an amazing and Exclusive “Looking Awesome” Iron-On Patch design by Ink and Wonder! It looks amazing and I’m super excited about it because it’s super easy and cute to use!
As an extra item, we got a Sea Witch Sampler Poster, which is actually a book I’m super excited to read!
We got this amazing Masquerade Mask Necklace done by Team Fairyloot, which is beautiful! It’s the perfect size and super cute and perfect for the box! Plus, the necklace cord is actually a pretty good length!
One of the most amazing items, and almost my favorite, is this amazing Exclusive “Destiny” Cushion Cover designed by Miss Phi that we got! It features a quote from Legendary by Stephenie Garber, which is a book that, apparently has a lot of ball gowns, but I wouldn’t know since I have yet to read Caraval… Oops! The pillowcase is beautiful tho and I love the quote! Don’t mind the cat hair that is already on the pillow after the 5 seconds I put it on the sofa…
Also, we got an Exclusive “Corvere” Candle designed by Geeky Clean and inspired by Nevernight by Jay Kristoff, which is a book I am super excited to read but also… afraid? I have no idea if I should buy it or not… Any thoughts? Anyway, the candle smells like strawberry and pepper, which is quite different and interesting and it’s super pretty!
And finally… We got this AMAZING Exclusive Reading Journal!!! This a book that has been on the making for months and it couldn’t have gotten any better! It’s beautiful! I got some photos of some of the pages but it does not make it justice… It’s so incredibly perfect! It was designed by FictionTea Designs and features quote art by Stella’s Bookish Art! It will be super handy to keep track of my readings and it’s just SO pleasant to look at!
Here’s another overall view of the items:
This box was once again amazing! It contained some items I was definitely not expecting and I absolutely loved them all! But especially the Reading Journal… it’s just so PERFECT! Also, I love pillowcases so that’s another fav!
The next month’s theme will be…
The Power Within
This box is inspired by stories where characters are powerful within, whether it’s from magic or just strength and determination.
The book we are featuring is a brilliant fantasy book where there are women who can manipulate flesh, bones, breath, and blood. We adored this story so much! It’s action packed from the start to finish, with a dash of humour. We’re so excited to reveal that the edition we will be including will be a FairyLoot exclusive as it will have SPRAYED PAGES and will actually be SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR! We cannot wait for you guys to see these stunning unique copies in person!
Also… It will include a freaking ✨ MAGIC CERAMIC MUG ✨
For more information on that box, you can check it out here. The boxes are now available!
When they are sold out, you can still get some at the beginning of each month tho (normally day 3). If you missed them, don’t worry! Each box is amazing and I’m sure you will be as happy with the next one as you would with this one! Also, make sure you check out their Instagram, they always post there the new themes!
I hope you guys enjoyed this unboxing!
