FairyLoot July 2018 Unboxing

Hey guys!

It’s time for a Fairyloot unboxing! Who’s excited?! This month’s theme was The Power WithinFairyLoot is an amazing YA bookish subscription box that I would highly recommend getting.

This was a box I was super excited about since it was said to contain items from And I Darken and Sky in the Deep! I loved those books immensely so I was over the moon to get some items inspired by them!

If you wanna check out what this box included, just keep reading! I will show photos of the items, information on them and some of my thoughts!

The Power Within – July 2018

So this is all the box included. Now for each item…

This month’s book is Heart of Thorns by Bree Barton. This month’s cover is the same as the original, but it contains red sprayed pages! Also, it’s freaking signed by the author which is awesome!

Here’s the synopsis:

In the ancient river kingdom, touch is a battlefield, bodies the instruments of war. Seventeen-year-old Mia Rose has pledged her life to hunting Gwyrach: women who can manipulate flesh, bones, breath, and blood.

Not women. Demons. The same demons who killed her mother without a single scratch.

But when Mia’s father suddenly announces her marriage to the prince, she is forced to trade in her knives and trousers for a sumptuous silk gown. Only after the wedding goes disastrously wrong does she discover she has dark, forbidden magic—the very magic she has sworn to destroy.

As for the other items…

With the book, we got a letter from the author with a beautiful illustration on the other side that shows our two main characters Mia and Quin, designed by Noverantale.

Also, here is the book signed and the letter from the author! I’m so excited to read it! It sounds awesome! Also, the pages are sprayed with red!

We got an amazing exclusive Theron’s Study Room Sary by Geeky clean! It’s inspired by Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch and it smells so incredibly good! It says to be lavender and books and it’s so fresh and relaxing! Plus it’s vegan and cruelty-free!

We also got this amazing and exclusive Zélie Art Print that looks beautiful! It was designed by Diana Worak and it’s inspired by Zélie from Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi. It’s incredibly detailed and the colors are beautiful!

You can also see in the photo, the extra item that was included. It’s a Sweet Black Waves postcard with a digital access to a sampler!

This is one of the coolest items… It’s an exclusive Quidditch Pen and it looks like a mini broomstick! It’s awesome! It says “Don’t chase the quaffle if you see the snitch” and it was done by Fairyloot and obviously inspired by Harry Potter!

Plus, from one of my fav books, we got an exclusive Ond Elder Vinyl Sticker! It’s inspired by Sky in the deep by Adrienne Young and “Ond Elder” means “Breath Fire”. It was designed by Reverie and Ink and I’m gonna use this one right away!

Next, we have this exclusive Magical Mug, which is awesome! I love magical mugs and this was designed by Little Inkling Designs. It features a quote from Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes in rainbow colors and it looks awesome when you put something hot in it. You can slightly see the quote when it’s not hot, but not that much.

And lastly, we got an Exclusive Tea Towel designed by KDP Letters. It features a quote from And I Darken by Kiersten White, which is an amazing book! It’s a shame that it’s printed wrong, but according to Fairyloot, we will be receiving one correctly printed in same time. The quote is an amazing one – “Her spine was steel. Her heart was armor. Her eyes were fire.” and I love the colors!

Here’s another overall view of the items:

Next month’s theme will be…

Mutinous Pirates

Look alive, you swabs! It’s time for us to reveal our August theme and we couldn’t be more excited. The theme for August is… MUTINOUS PIRATES! This box is inspired by some of our favourite pirate books and pirates!

The book we are featuring is a fabulous pirate book inspired by the Spanish Inquisition. It’s filled with magic (and botanical magic!), adventure and you guessed it – mutiny! This marvellous book is from a bestselling author and has a cast of fantastic characters. We’re so thrilled to reveal that the edition we will be including is a FairyLoot exclusive as it will have SPRAYED PAGES and will actually be SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR! We cannot wait for you guys to see these stunning unique copies in person!

This box will feature items inspired by Shadow and Bone (Nikolai!), To Kill A Kingdom, Pirates of the Caribbean and Daughter of the Pirate King. We have got some REALLY unique items in this box that we have been so enthusiastic about for months! Don’t worry if you haven’t read any of these books – you can still enjoy all of the items, promise!

We are also very excited to reveal that this box will include an exclusively designed special sampler of King of Scares by Leigh Bardugo! If you’re a Bardugo fan then you certainly will not want to miss this.
