Hey guys!! How has your month been?
January wasn’t the best month for me to be honest. I read way less than I was expecting. But on the other way, I’ll start to have more time for reading and overall for myself around the middle of February and also in March, which I’m super happy about! So, I do believe February will start to be a reading month tho, but for now…
Check out what I’ve read this month:
January Wrap-up
-
The Language of Thorns: Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic (Grisha Verse, #0.5, #2.5, #2.6)
- Herding Cats (Sarah’s Scribbles #3)
-
Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow
- The Storm Runner (The Storm Runner #1)
- The Poppy War (The Poppy War #1)
- ARC: A Danger to Herself and Others
- In an Absent Dream (Wayward Children #4)
- An Orchestra of Minorities
- Dragon Pearl
TOP 3 books of the month:
The Poppy War is an INCREDIBLE and dark fantasy novel. It has one of the most hard-working characters that will undoubtedly inspire you.
An Orchestra of Minorities isan incredibly different story with Nigerian culture. It talks about chi’s – in Igbo cosmology a Chi “is often translated as god, guardian angel, personal spirit, soul, spirit-double etc” -, love, and paths of life. It’s a hard read but it’s so incredibly written! It’s beautiful, deep and sad to the point of putting me sobbing… I can’t even express how it touched me, and it might not be for everyone but holly sh&# it was AMAZING.
In an Absent Dream is as good as the previous books in the series. They are all quite different from each other tho, and this was the most realistic and hard one until now. It’s set in a Goblin Market and it will for sure break your heart.

I’m hoping to read The Wicked King this month as well! [Who am I kidding; I’ll do anything I can to make it happen..] On the Come Up is on my wishlist. Hoping to buy myself a copy soon, but we’ll see.
I’ve read The Gilded Wolves and Children of Blood and Bone already – loved both of them! Although the ending of The Gilded Wolves was.. not entirely to my liking but the rest of that novel is perfection.
Hope you will love them too!
