Hey guys! It’s time to unbox the February Fairyloot box! The theme for February is Beast & Beauty!
FairyLoot is an amazing YA bookish subscription box that I would highly recommend getting.
If you wanna check out what this box included, just keep reading! I will show photos of the items, information on them and some of my thoughts!
Beast & Beauty – February 2019
So this is all the box included. Now for each item…
This month’s book is A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer. And we got an exclusive edition, which is a hardback that comes with a ribbon bookmark!
Here’s the synopsis:
An instant New York Times Best Seller! In a lush, contemporary fantasy retelling of Beauty and the Beast, Brigid Kemmerer gives readers another compulsively readable romance perfect for fans of Marissa Meyer.
Fall in love, break the curse.
It once seemed so easy to Prince Rhen, the heir to Emberfall. Cursed by a powerful enchantress to repeat the autumn of his eighteenth year over and over, he knew he could be saved if a girl fell for him. But that was before he learned that at the end of each autumn, he would turn into a vicious beast hell-bent on destruction. That was before he destroyed his castle, his family, and every last shred of hope.
Nothing has ever been easy for Harper Lacy. With her father long gone, her mother dying, and her brother barely holding their family together while constantly underestimating her because of her cerebral palsy, she learned to be tough enough to survive. But when she tries to save someone else on the streets of Washington, DC, she’s instead somehow sucked into Rhen’s cursed world.
Break the curse, save the kingdom.
A prince? A monster? A curse? Harper doesn’t know where she is or what to believe. But as she spends time with Rhen in this enchanted land, she begins to understand what’s at stake. And as Rhen realizes Harper is not just another girl to charm, his hope comes flooding back. But powerful forces are standing against Emberfall . . . and it will take more than a broken curse to save Harper, Rhen, and his people from utter ruin.
As for the other items…
With the book, we got a beautiful illustration on the other side of the letter from the author designed by @kf1n3
Also, here is the signed bookplate in the shape of a rose and the letter from the author!
Also, although the pages are not sprayed, the spine is completely gorgeous so I had to show it here!
Here’s the other side – I love this quote so much!!!
Then, we got a Ceramic Trinket Dish inspired by the Beauty and the Beast and designed by Drop And Give Me Nerdy. It’s perfect to hold jewelry or anything tiny you wanna keep in hand.
We got a Belle Print, which I think is completely beautiful! I love the light in it! And this was designed by @amaretta_.
We also got two extra bookmarks.
Next, we got an Enchanted Rose Enamel Pin. This was done by IceyDesigns and it’s the most iconic thing you can get from Beauty and the Beast.
Also, we got an amazing Tea With Mrs. Potts Roll-On Perfume! It smells of vanilla and white tea, and it’s super soft and just a beautiful smell! I absolutely loved it and I’m a huge fan of roll-on perfumes! This was brought to us by Little Heart Gifts.
Lastly, we got this beautiful Large Wall Tapestry which is what you’ve been seeing on the back of all the photos! It’s such a stunning design by Sweet Sequels! I absolutely love it!
And these are the tarot cards we got in this box!! They are the last ones inspired by the A Court of Thorns and Roses and these are Rhysand and Morrigan. They are beautiful and they were designed by Emily Haynes, just like the last ones!
Here’s another overall view of the items:
This box was pretty cool. I’m not a tumbler type of person but the design on it is stunning… I love the glitter things! My favorite thing was probably the roll-on perfume for how unique of an idea it is and I’m already using it! But I have to say that the tapestry and the Belle print are high on the list too.
Next month’s theme will be…
The theme for our March box is… FAVOURITES!
This box marks our 3-year anniversary, so it is extra special. We’ve come a long way since we first started FairyLoot, and we’re so thankful to all of you who have been there with us from the start or who joined us on this journey along the way.
To celebrate this, we’ve decided that this box will be all about some of our favourite fandoms – you can expect items inspired by a mix of fandoms (you’ll know what we mean when you see it!), Strange The Dreamer, Alice in Wonderland and more! We’ll also be including a collectible FairyLoot enamel pin as a souvenir for our 3-year anniversary.
We aren’t going to reveal too much about the individual items, but there will be a gorgeous wearable item designed by @caracozik – we absolutely adore the design and know we’re always going to wear ours.
And… the most exciting part? This box is going to have TWO EXCLUSIVE books!
Our featured book is about a girl going up against boys in a maze – it’s got humour, romance, and kick-butt heroines. It was so much fun and we loved this book so much! The hardback edition in this box will have SPRAYED EDGES and it will also be SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR.
The second book we are including is a paperback from a British YA author – it will have an EXCLUSIVE COVER and it will also be SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR! It won’t be released until April this year, so you’ll be getting it early! It’s filled with awesome characters and is an epic adventure set on the high seas.
As always, our anniversary box is going to be PURPLE instead of the usual black! It’s always extra fun to see you guys with these purple boxes. This box will also include our collectible tarot cards… and this month we’re changing fandom to Six of Crows, as per your votes in our previous fandom battle poll. We can’t wait for you guys to see which characters we’ll be including first.
To sum up, our March ‘FAVOURITES’ box will include:
- TWO awesome exclusive books (both signed!)
- a bunch of amazing goodies
- a collectible FairyLoot anniversary enamel pin
- collectible tarot cards
- and a purple box
For more information on that box, you can check it out here. The boxes are sold out tho.
When they are sold out, you can still get some at the beginning of each month (around day 2/3). If you missed them, don’t worry! Each box is amazing and I’m sure you will be as happy with the next one as you would with this one! Also, make sure you check out their Instagram, they always post there the new themes!
I hope you guys enjoyed this unboxing!
