Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.

And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend to complexities of human nature – and of herself – while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.

Let me start by saying that I read the Portuguese version of this book because when I started the series I bought in PT and wanted to continue that way for the books to match. 😛

So, I was totally not liking the beginning of the book, I took me more than it should have to read it, I couldn’t make myself read it faster, it just didn’t make me so connected to it like the others did and believe me when I say that because Divergent (and Insurgent) are among my favorite books and it totally is (yes, it still is) one of my favorite series.

I don’t know why, but I certainly wasn’t a fan of the beginning or a lot of parts in the book, but I really loved other parts so… that’s why I am giving 3 starts to it…

The writing in Allegiant is still very amazing although I found a large chunk in the middle to be really slow and difficult to get through. I did NOT like the dual POV – their voices weren’t different enough for me not to get utterly confused from chapter to chapter; I still liked the characters, though Tris just could not stop pissing me off. (no shame in saying that I have a love/hate relationship with this one). I really liked the new world also.

I felt that the story itself was really nice but too stretched, I don’t really care for the end that everyone seems to dislike, I actually liked it, it was a big step for a ya book!
So the ending was actually the one thing that I approved of in this book. In a way, which I will explain soon. Some things were interesting to read about. I wasn’t bored. But I wasn’t very interested in it either. Not a nice feeling.

I adored Tobias in this book. He just gets better for each book. But I also feel miserable for him. Is anyone ever going to care for him? To love him, and to think of him first? …
Tobias deserved more. Which he did not get, like always. And that breaks my heart. He is not made of stone, can’t they see that, he also has feelings! …But even so, I adored reading about him and he will always be one of my favorite characters.

Then there is Tris. My god, I could not stand her in this book (I was already not that much of a big fan of her but I liked her still). I did not approve her choices. She doesn’t talk enough with Tobias. She does not seem to trust him. She does not comfort him at all. And she has done so many mistakes, is she the only one who can do that? After how much she hurt him, and he survived that, shouldn’t she already know him better, know herself better? She is a person that cares a lot about others okay, but I don’t think she cares enough about him. She acts like a hero but in the daily basis she is so arghhh….

There is just so many things in this book that I disliked. We get to know why there are factions, why they live alone. It was interesting, but not exciting, it just felt a bit flat. And not enough to know the characters, you know the world but a lot of the characters should have appeared more…

One of the worst things about this for me was that Marcus was not punished not even a bit  for all the wrong things he did. He didn’t even get shot or tortured or anything. I am so Not happy about it.

Like always, Tris had to put her life in risk and not think about the ones that lover her… Everything for the bigger cause yeah yeah, but still… She didn’t care a bit about the ones that actually cared about her. Is that a hero?
So in a way I’m happy she died. It made my heart break for Tobias, because he deserves more than anybody to be happy. So I am oh so happy that Tobias didn’t die. That would have just been.. unforgivable.

Anyway after all she passed she died why to easily… But anyway. Tobias was the bright point in this book. His point of view was the very best of it all.

Anyway I did like this book but it’s totally not even near the other ones. But Tobias! ❤
