In a kingdom by the sea…

In a secret world where half-angel warriors are sworn to fight demons, parabatai is a sacred word.

A parabatai is your partner in battle. A parabatai is your best friend. Parabatai can be everything to each other—but they can never fall in love.

Emma Carstairs is a warrior, a Shadowhunter, and the best in her generation. She lives for battle. Shoulder to shoulder with her parabatai, Julian Blackthorn, she patrols the streets of Los Angeles, where vampires party on the Sunset Strip, and faeries—the most powerful of supernatural creatures—teeter on the edge of open war with Shadowhunters. When the bodies of humans and faeries turn up murdered in the same way Emma’s parents were when she was a child, an uneasy alliance is formed. This is Emma’s chance for revenge—and Julian’s chance to get back his brother Mark, who is being held prisoner by the faerie Courts. All Emma, Mark, and Julian have to do is solve the murders within two weeks…and before the murderer targets them.

Their search takes Emma from sea caves full of sorcery to a dark lottery where death is dispensed. And each clue she unravels uncovers more secrets. What has Julian been hiding from her all these years? Why does Shadowhunter Law forbid parabatai to fall in love? Who really killed her parents—and can she bear to know the truth?

The darkly magical world of Shadowhunters has captured the imaginations of millions of readers across the globe. Join the adventure in Lady Midnight, the long-awaited first volume of a new trilogy from Cassandra Clare.

City of Fallen Angels/Lost Souls/Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare

07052018-IMG_7866

Hi guys! So, as you probably know already, I’m not a big fan of TMI, but I wanted to read them anyway since I already owned them… So I ended up participating in a read-along done by Emmabooks for them to make it happen.

I read:

city-of-fallen-angels51anMWgLi4L._SX324_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg9781406355819

  • City of Fallen Angels: Apr 15 – May 5
  • City of Lost Souls: Jun 3 – Jun 30
  • City of Heavenly Fire: July 29 – Aug 25

Since I started by not enjoying this books that much, I decided to do mini-reviews for each, kinda like a likes/dislikes type of thing for each. But that kinda changed in the last two books because I really liked them… So yeah, it’s just a collective review of the end of the series…

I’m incredibly happy I finally read this series because the last two books were awesome! they really surprised me and actually made me incredibly interested in everything that was happening! I can’t say it’s my favorite series but it is worth the read.

*Hope you enjoy my reviews!*

May Wrap-up and June TBR

wrapupandtbr

Hey guys!!

How has your month been? May, for me, was actually pretty good!

First of all, because we finally have sun and warmth! I missed this weather! It always makes me so much happier! Anyone else?

But I also had my last exams at the beginning of the month, so after that, I dedicated myself a bit more to reading, which I couldn’t be happier about! Plus I also kind of bought quite many books this month, so we have a haul coming up next month (I will join it with my birthday haul)!

I’ve read 12 books, 2 of them being manga and 1 graphic novel. I also started 3 other books, which I was aiming to have finished but oh well! I just hope next month is as good for me, as this one was.
